Position Overview
The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide high-quality, direct medical care to hospitalized patients at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center®, ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, including charting medical history, assessing health status, diagnosing conditions, and collaborating with physicians and health professionals.
• Accurately calculate drug dosages and administer medications.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Foster strong interpersonal relationships with co-workers and healthcare team members.
• Maintain documentation of continuing education as per licensure, certification requirements, and clinic protocols.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS (accepted organizations: AHA or American Red Cross).
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
