We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Advanced Practice Esthetician Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. SAVANT Aesthetics Institute is a growing force in the industry in the Eden Prairie area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in esthetics, a deep understanding of advanced skin care techniques, and a commitment to fostering the next generation of estheticians. As an instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive esthetics courses, ensuring that students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in the beauty and wellness industry. This position will be held Tuesday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
Design, develop, and update curriculum for Basic + Advanced esthetics courses.
Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training.
Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
Student Support and Assessment:
Provide individualized instruction and support to students.
Assess student performance through practical exams, written tests, and assignments.
Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and knowledge.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain classroom discipline and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Ensure that all safety and sanitation protocols are followed.
Professional Development:
Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and regulations.
Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance professional skills.
Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to program development.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Assist with student recruitment, admissions, and orientation activities.
Collaborate with other instructors and administrative staff to ensure program success.
Qualifications:
Education:
A valid Advanced Practice Esthetician license.
An instructor license
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the esthetics field, with a focus on advanced skin care techniques.
Experience:
Previous teaching experience in an esthetics program is highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of advanced esthetics procedures, including but not limited to chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, and skincare analysis.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
Work Environment:
This position requires standing for extended periods and performing practical demonstrations.
Must be able to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
Must have reliable transportation
Must be willing to work at both campuses based on business needs
