JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chubb.IO Engineering Group builds next-gen integration solutions using Open Technology Integrations for all Chubb business lines. The Chubb.IO Platform Group requires a Technical Lead to collaborate with Business Lines, strategic implementation partners, and Chubb engineering and development centers to create integration solutions using the Chubb.IO technology product stack.
The Technical Lead will be accountable for Chubb.IO Engineering Delivery of Chubb Shared Services projects/programs and platforms within an agile framework and communicating with various stakeholders at all levels. The Technical Lead will drive delivery of strategic technological platforms and capabilities in support of all business units and will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects in adherence with Chubb's program delivery framework.
Engineering Leadership:
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of significant experience of successfully supporting large complex cross-functional business and technology architectures, including new application solutions and system replacements, with Cloud ready technology maximizing open-source technologic and stacks. Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.), planning estimation and metrics, as well as agile tools for Project Management (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Business domain, data/content, and process understanding. Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Must possess excellent judgment and decision-making ability. Knowledge of Chubb's application portfolio, legacy, and modern systems and platforms is a plus. Technical skills in Azure Cloud Services, Kubernetes, and Java programming are required. Prior experience with Chubb.IO Tech Stack: Kafka, Drools, OpenSearch, Camel, Spring Boot/Quarkus Java, XSLT 3.0 + is preferred. Must have hands-on delivery experience in large scale cross-functional data management and architecture solutions. Ability to learn, adapt and apply new technologies to solve critical business problems.
The pay range for the role is $116,700 to $198,500. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.

Engineering Leadership:
- Ensure alignment of solution architecture and collaborates with product delivery and engineering teams.
- Lead engineers and collaborate with Technical Architects/Leads, Product Owners, to develop business solutions that are modular, reusable, and easily adaptable.
- Foster strong business relationships, engage with stakeholders, manage expectations, align with senior leadership, and collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Foster and promote technological innovation within the Chubb enterprise by exploring and assessing opportunities.
- Lead teams by evaluating and facilitating the adoption of open technology solutions, along with acquiring new knowledge and skills.
- The Tech Lead takes delivery ownership of highly reusable shared capabilities, platforms, and projects within Advanced Engineering
- Leads engineers and collaborates closely with various owners of Chubb.IO pods to ensure the seamless integration and implementation of Chubb.IO products.
- Manages project scope and ensures continuous enhancements in solution architecture, delivery, quality, and platform governance.
- Promote continuous delivery of core platform capabilities, enterprise-wide business mandates by ensuring all participants are informed about their duties and obligations and are actively fulfilling them.
