Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, design, and execution of the Battery and Battery Systems Manufacturing Systems within General Assembly.
- Responsible for Initial Prototyping of all battery components like from cell to module to pack and provide feedback for optimization of Product design.
- Collaborate with design, test, and quality engineering to solve problems, improve manufacturability, and implement continual improvement.
- Develop laser weld processes, and assembly process to optimize manufacturing, by working with the suppliers and the product battery team
- Collaborate with suppliers/partner and internal department to execute the Battery Assembly line tooling and process equipment.
- Develop and execute End of Line ( EOL) test procedure development, EOL test setup specification and equipment development and final commissioning.
- Communicate with all stakeholders to balance and maintain program timing, performance, and budget.
- Deliver a Battery Assembly system and process that meets product performance requirements, CAPEX and Opex targets, as well as uptime, quality, and customer requirements.
- Respond to executive team/internal team inquiries and cross functional issues to arrive at the best enterprise-wide balanced solution .

- Experience in development and execution of EOL test procedure development, EOL test setup specification and equipment commissioning
- Experience in prototype hardware vehicle assembly, repair, and issue tracking
- Ability to implement new and innovative manufacturing processes and technology.
