General Summary:Assists in the recruitment activities of the admission office within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. This role serves as a representative of the mission and values of the College to the public at events, such as but not limited to, high school visits, college fairs, and recruitment-related events. Works with colleagues, prospective students and their families, high school counselors, and alumnae in recruiting best fit students to Agnes Scott College.
Essential Job Functions:
- Interprets college and admission policies and practices to students, parents, alumnae, staff and high school counselors, in a variety of settings including evening information programs, high school visits, college fairs, and counselor meetings.
- Recruits prospective students and applicants from within an assigned region and geographic territory, which will involve approximately 4 to 6 weeks of travel during the fall and spring.
- Conducts on-campus interviews and information sessions to both large and small groups; assists with other on-campus recruitment and yield activities.
- Evaluates candidates for admission and scholarships and counsels students through the full enrollment cycle.
- Assists with planning and execution of on-campus recruitment events and yield activities.
- Fulfills programmatic responsibilities assigned by the director of admission based on the needs of the admission office.
- Utilizes office-wide CRM, Slate, to facilitate in managing relationships with prospective students and counselors.
- Operates within approved travel and program budgets.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS in related occupational field of study.
Experience: Minimum 1 year work experience in admission or a related field with other employers, plus 6 months training time at ASC, for a total of 1+ years experience.

- Strength in public speaking and presentation skills.

- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage projects without supervision.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
Other:
- Irregular evening hours, weekend hours, and overtime are required on a regular basis, depending on events, projects and travel.
- Occasional opportunities for remote work
- Must have access to reliable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
