Johnson County's Aging and Human Service's Department (AHS) is currently recruiting for an Administrative Case Manager to assist potential Medicaid clients. The Administrative Case Manager will be assigned to clients in order to facilitate their financial application for Medicaid and provide navigation assistance during the Medicaid application process. The Administrative Case Manager shall be the single point of contact for the client during the Medicaid financial application process. First review of applications will begin on January 3.
Job Description:Duties includes:
- Facilitates the financial application process for clients applying for Medicaid; assists clients as they gather and complete paperwork necessary for financial determination for Medicaid; initiates initial meeting with each clients; acts as the single point of contact for the client during the Medicaid process; follows up with Medicaid financial eligibility entity to ensure application was received; coordinates meetings and consultations by appointment in office or via home visit.
- Advises the client of updates on application status until a determination is received on the Medicaid application; follows up with the client with a customer satisfaction survey; reports survey results in a quarterly report submitted to KDADS.
- Follows timelines and documents requirements within contracts; records and documents client contacts, meetings, time spent with each client; documents client timelines from application process through the customer satisfaction survey; provides quality assurance data for the program; avoids the potential for billing recoupment.
- Maintains updated professional knowledge in areas of Administrative Case Management practices, issues related to vulnerable populations, new technologies and resources; incorporates new professional knowledge into the practice of the team; attends professional organization meetings, trainings and participate on committtees; completes required Medicaid Training or training mandated by the State contractor.
Associate's degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Health or relevant field of study; one (1) year of experience working with the aging, disability or Medicaid populations or relevant experience are required.
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Health or relevant field of study is preferred.
Successful candidate must pass a criminal history screening and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience can substitute for education.
