Job Description:
Our client, a leading estate planning firm based in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Estate Planning Advisor to join our team. This role is sales-forward, with a strong focus on understanding and addressing the complex needs of our highly intelligent clients.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Estate and Financial planning, with a keen ability to guide clients through our consultative planning process supported by a knowledge base in the financial aspects of Estates. CFP or equivalent designation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting consultations to assess their estate planning needs and providing expert advice.
- Sell estate planning services and products to clients, tailoring solutions to meet their unique requirements.
- Help Draft estate plan documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and grant deeds using Estate Guru software.
- Review and amend existing estate planning documents and assist in the funding of trusts.
- Coordinate and manage the preparation and administration of estate planning documents and trust processes.
- Collect and analyze data regarding clients’ assets, including savings accounts, investments, and real estate holdings.
- Work closely with the Senior Paralegal to manage files, and workflow, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and case statuses.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (law, finance, business) preferred.
- Paralegal certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in estate law, legal drafting, or financial planning preferred.
- CFP or equivalent designation is a plus
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of estate planning, insurance, retirement, and investment principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and financial concepts to clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe.
- Experience with case management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to client needs.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Compensation: - From $50,000 per year + performance bonus pay.
