SGI Global is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) - District of Massachusetts. The position will assist the Office of Public Affairs and External Engagement (OPAEE) of the United States Attorney's Office.*Position is contingent upon award*Job Duties:Provides support to Front Office staff with scheduling and calendar organization for the U.S. Attorney (USA), First Assistant US Attorney and other senior staff.Assists the public affairs team with research for US Attorney's daily briefing binders. Work includes researching topic areas, events and speakers, compiling media coverage, and drafting various internal and external communications.Works with community outreach team in a support role assisting with coordination of the US Attorney's external outreach events, securing and arranging logistics, ensuring that US Attorney is briefed for events and prepared with informational and logistics material.Assists the Diversity and Inclusion Committee with executing monthly Special Emphasis events by researching information, drafting communications and planning events.Typical assignments include:Assists with the coordination and logistical details for USAs events calendar.Frequently joins USA at external events in a professional manner.Meets with the Executive Assistant, Executive Officer, and OPAEE staff to arrange calendar events to ensure proper scheduling and that the senior staff are briefed on upcoming events.Conducts relevant research in preparation for USA outreach meetings.Composes original internal and external communications covering a wide variety of topics of interest to the US Attorney's Office. Prepares well-written work product using a variety of computer software programs and applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.Completes documents in a timely manner, ensuring to carefully proofread before submitting to the approving official. Documents are infrequently returned for editorial changes and are rarely returned for spelling, formatting, or grammatical errors.Maintains professional working relationships with outside contacts, members of the public and office staff. Ensures that on-site contacts are kept informed of the status of assigned projects. Executes tasks requiring interaction, oral and written, with clients, co-workers, and others in a diplomatic, cooperative, considerate, courteous, and timely manner.Exercises judgment and discretion in determining information provided to inquiries and visitors.Completes high-quality work under pressure with competing deadlines.Qualifications:At least one year of administrative support experience is required.Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical abilitiesFamiliarity with a variety of computer applications, specifically the Microsoft suite (word, excel, outlook, etc.).Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Access.Strong research and writing skills.Ability to proofread documents and format them to accepted standards.Experience and familiarity with researching information on a variety social media platforms.Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment, and work overtime on short notice.Ability to travel within the District.SGI Global provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
