HAVASU LANDING CASINO
DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION
REPORTS TO: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
FLSA: NON-EXEMPT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

While performing duties of this position, employees are required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; use fingers to grasp, move or assemble very small objects, make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists for operating office equipment, including computer keyboards; must be able to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand; see details of objects that are more than a few feet away, see different colors, shades, and brightness; must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and up to 50 with assistance; must have the ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, and manage anger, fear, hostility, and violence of others appropriately. The position requires the ability to process information using computer methods and technology, at times for more than 50% of the work time.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must qualify for gaming license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Cannot be convicted of a felony
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 2 years of experience as a Staff Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role required
- Knowledge of human resources procedures essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong sense of confidentiality
- Highly computer literate with capability in email and MS Office
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to accurately follow instructions
- Working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. printers, copiers, and postage meters)
- Ability to work without supervision, to organize and track multiple projects with large amounts of detail
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a friendly, approachable, and customer service-oriented demeanor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Maintain and protect confidential records
- Assist with tracking certifications, licenses, and mandatory training
- Support the administrative team and assist in ways that optimize procedures
- Support and assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) office
- In the HR Manager’s absence, support internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests in order to relay information to HR Manager
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Gather data, perform data entry, and create reports
- Keep an inventory of office supplies and order new materials as needed
- Must be available to work weekends and nights occasionally
- Performs all other duties as assigned
