Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a diverse and engaging activity calendar.
• Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and interests of residents, ensuring inclusivity for all.
• Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and document observations regarding residents' responses to activities.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to integrate activities into the overall care plan.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of residents during activities, reporting any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in recreational or therapeutic activities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of the physical and cognitive limitations of the elderly population.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with varying abilities.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for nursing home residents.
