General Summary:
The employee will perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide product assistance to the PM and Product Support Manager (PSM) for the execution of the PSM’s duties as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager; also provide assistance to the sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and other associated logistics data of critical assets, insurance spares, tooling, and related parts and material.
- Provide assistance to the development and maintenance of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP) and shall develop and execute requirements in phased strategies for PPTP and TPP.
- Coordinate all logistics elements including but not limited to spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning to ensure all integrated logistics support requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the directorate's needs. Assigned personnel shall perform as key participants in developing long term weapon system supportability approaches that further the Government’s acquisition strategy goals and objectives.
- Assist in accomplishing analyses, writing reports, recommending actions, or performing any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to conduct the orderly arrangement of all maintenance support, including SE, to keep systems and equipment ready to perform assigned missions. This includes all levels of maintenance and implementation of those levels using partnering, organic, and Contractor support.
- Provide support in the following areas: performing reliability centered maintenance program analyses, level of repair analyses, aircraft battle damage repair, and other maintenance trade studies; recommending required maintenance capability for all levels of repair to include calibration concepts, requirements, and plans; tracking and monitoring weapon system modifications; assisting with the Source of Repair Assignment Process (SORAP) and assisting in inter-service screening; aiding in the identification of requirements for interim contractor support, contractor logistics support, and post production support; developing maintenance activation planning and processes; ensuring provisions are made for survivability, corrosion control, nondestructive inspection, structural integrity, built-in test and performance monitoring, and hazardous materials in addressing environmental logistics impacts; and identifying, quantifying, and assessing the ILS/product support and sustainment elements.
- Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
- Support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, to include all milestone activities.

Required Experience
One of the following combinations of education/experience:
- MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
- BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR-
- Twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
- Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in the technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline
- Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Skype/Lync), Adobe Acrobat, and applications for access to the world wide web including Microsoft Internet Explorer
- U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance required
