ARC Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client in the Southside area of Jacksonville, FL. This is a permanent, onsite position offering a dynamic work environment and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have over two years of accounts receivable experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Wednesday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.
- Role Type: Full-time, permanent (not a contract position).
As an account receivable specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Apply tenant billings, process cash receipts, and manage collection efforts for multiple properties.
- Deposit checks received in-office promptly to the appropriate bank accounts.
- Ensure tenant compliance with insurance certificate requirements and accurate sales reporting.
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by engaging with tenants via phone, email, and mail.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on aging receivables to ensure timely payments.
- Process late fees and manage non-sufficient fund (NSF) transactions as needed.
- Prepare and process monthly management fees.
- File and submit monthly sales tax for all Florida properties.
- Monitor the Accounts Receivable inbox, responding to internal and external inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Participate in routine Accounts Receivable meetings with team members to discuss updates and issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues or concerns to the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Collaborate positively and proactively with the team to support the leasing and marketing of mall properties, aiming to deliver exceptional service.
- Assist other accounting and finance team members with tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications for Accounts Receivable Specialist
- High school diploma required; higher education in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience in the Real Estate or Construction industry is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word and Excel.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
