Accounts Payable Technician at Activ8

An international manufacturer of automotive components is searching for a motivated Accounts Payable Technician to join their team near Mason, OH. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who also has at least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct-hire position that offers a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Accounts Payable Technician Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all company credit cards, bank accounts, and other outstanding expenses
• Ensure payment of weekly expenses
• File all end of month reports and update journal entries
• Data Entry: invoices, employee expense reports, and bills to be paid
• Quarterly balancing of AP Journal to General Ledger
• Sort and file paperwork to ensure all documents are matched to invoices
• Maintain strong company reputation by ensuring all financial commitments are fulfilled in a timely manner
• Receive, record, and sort all incoming mail for the office
• Other duties as assigned

Accounts Payable Technician Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting or similar) or High School Degree and minimum of two years’ relevant experience in accounting
• Ability to use 10-key calculator required
• Above-average organizational skills
• Problem solver mindset, experienced with analytical tools
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
• Work well in high-pressure situations
• This position works in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
