Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Manage the entire accounts payable cycle within a high-volume environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform meticulous 3-way matching of invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders to facilitate seamless processing.
- Reconcile monthly accounts payable to the general ledger, ensuring alignment and accuracy of financial records.
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of 1099 forms, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough reconciliation of vendor statements, proactively resolving discrepancies through research and corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, providing prompt and professional responses to maintain positive relationships.
Job Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Demonstrated experience with 3-way matching procedures, exhibiting an acute attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, leveraging advanced functions and formulas to streamline data analysis and reporting.
- Previous exposure to accounting software, with the ability to navigate and utilize relevant features effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong technical aptitude, enabling swift adaptation to new technologies and software tools within the accounting domain.
