Job Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk for our client in the construction industry. This role will involve managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, and assisting with customer reconciliations and billing. Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Receive and organize invoices from vendors and suppliers (50-100 per week) for timely processing.
- Accurately enter invoice data into the ERP system and ensure payment terms are met.
- Select and prioritize invoices for payment, ensuring payments are made within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Process and generate check runs and ACH batches, and manage the mailing of physical checks.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records, files, and documentation.
- Assist with monthly inventory weighted average calculations as part of the company’s financial reporting.
Accounts Receivable:
- Perform customer reconciliations, including creating, tracking, and resolving discrepancies in accounts.
- Adjust quantities and billing amounts as needed to reflect accurate project charges.
- Assist with the calculation and tracking of time and material billing for various construction projects.
- Generate, review, and send detailed monthly quantity reports to customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, and Microsoft Office).
- Experience in the construction industry or with construction-related financial tasks is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and customers.
