The Role:Summit Securities Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our small, dynamic Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the business, learning various aspects of accounting and finance while contributing to a culture of collaboration and process improvement. In compliance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $55,000- $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Please note, this range excludes other components of total compensation, such as bonuses.We offer competitive compensation packages, company equity, 401k matching, gender-neutral parental leave, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. You Will:
- Take ownership of the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable invoices.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to establish and maintain strong internal controls for efficient processing and reporting.
- Participate in account and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist with monthly closing procedures and prepare internal and external reports, including tax statements and regulatory filings.
- Support audit-related documentation requests and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting policies and procedures.
You Bring:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or 1-2 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable processing.
- A solid understanding of the components of monthly reports, with a willingness to take ownership of accounting processes and drive improvements.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, with a passion for learning and using new tools that enhance efficiency.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus, though not required.
- A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- A strong appetite for learning and a commitment to professional growth.
