Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Position Overview:

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong background in the legal industry and advanced Excel skills. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support the continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• General Ledger Oversight: Manage and review general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Account Reconciliation: Oversee reconciliations of key accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank accounts.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances and providing insights for management.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement within the accounting department and implement best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Advanced Excel Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and create detailed reports, supporting data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Previous experience working in the law firm industry is required.
• Skills:
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal billing software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
