Accounting Supervisor Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee and perform in-depth analysis of our financial details, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, general ledger accounts, and reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, debt covenants, and FERC regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will provide critical support for audits and tax filings, ensuring financial integrity and transparency.

Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Review and perform in-depth analysis of financial details specific to the natural gas pipelines sector.
- Ensure timely and appropriate reporting of financial results as required.
- Journal and Ledger Management:
- Prepare and/or review monthly recurring journal entries and adjusting general ledger entries.
- Conduct monthly general ledger account analysis and oversee reconciliations.
- Reconciliation and Resolution:
- Review and oversee monthly reconciliations, ensuring identified items are resolved promptly.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of reconciliations.
- Financial Statement Preparation:
- Prepare and/or review quarterly standalone financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Analyze and report on significant or unusual variances in actual results from budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Debt Compliance and Reporting:
- Prepare and/or review financial statements and documents required under debt covenants.
- Track and verify compliance with applicable financial debt covenants.
- Support for Tax and Audit:
- Provide and/or review supporting schedules of key financial information for the Income and Property Tax Group used in federal and state filings.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for key general ledger accounts.
- Document analysis and technical accounting research, drafting related financial reports for audit and regulatory (FERC) compliance.
Accounting Supervisor Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
