An East LA manufacturer is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. In this Accounting Manager role, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing month-end close, the general ledger, inventory, and cost of goods sold. To be successful in this role, the Accounting Manager should be an experienced people manager, organized, and detail-oriented. Does this sound like you or someone you know? What do you need for this Accounting Manager role?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Must have supervisory experience managing direct reports
• Advanced Excel
• Retail and/or apparel related/adjacent experience preferred
What will you do in this Accounting Manager role?
• Oversee accounting department and manage staff
• Create new policies and procedures
• Manage month-end close
• Review and prepare journal entries and reconciliations
• Support ERP implementation
• Budget to actuals and variance analysis
• Spearhead process improvements around accounts receivable and operational accounting
• Manage sales tax process and work with outside tax consultants
• Create and implement internal controls
• Create metrics around KPIs
