Randstad is currently partnering with a dynamic and growing organization within the restaurant industry in their search for an Accounting Manager. If you have 7 years of experience in accounting including 3 years in a leadership role and strong in general ledger then this role might be the perfect fit for you.

responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of 2 general ledger accountants
• Create/Allocate GL codes to invoices for the AP Team to process
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Assist with monthly close activities including financial reporting and fluctuation analysis
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting
• Manage and resolve complex accounting issues
• Assist with annual financial audit and semi-annual bank audits
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned
• Produce schedules that are necessary for audits and taxes
• Address tax and tax related issues (sales tax, property tax, assist with corporate and state tax filings)
• Renew business licenses

 
qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, TRX, NetSuite)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with retail restaurant equipment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
• Experience with financial planning and analysis
