Job Overview:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reporting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements and maintaining the financial ERP system. S/he will also support forecasting and budgeting activities. This role requires a deep understating of accounting principles, financial analysis and the ability to create and maintain financial models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly and monthly entries required for month end close.
- Collaborate with Plant Controller to maintain and ensure accurate cost records for manufactured and purchased items.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable Manager and Director of Purchasing and Accounts Payable to ensure daily and monthly reconciliations are performed and variances resolved.
- Direct, mentor and develop inventory analyst.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial support including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to Department Heads.
- Support financial planning initiatives by developing financial models and scenario analyses.
Qualifications Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Proficient in financial modeling and analytical tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, financial software)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAGE InTacct a plus.
- MBA or CPA a plus.
