Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent leadership abilities, and the ability to manage multiple financial functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily accounting operations, lead month-end and year-end closing processes, manage a team of accountants, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to support business decisions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with managing a team and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Experience in [specific industry or sector] is a plus.
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
