Accounting Manager - Fjords USA

We’re looking to hire an Accounting/Payroll Manager for our Flemington location. This is a full-time position complete with a full benefits package and generous PTO policy.

Job Description:

· General Ledger: Responsible for AR/AP and financial reporting. One direct report.

· Payroll Processing: Calculating employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and commissions, including deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other authorized deductions.

· Assist with yearly renewals: benefits/insurance/leases/contracts

· Company representative toward auditors, tax advisors, vendors, suppliers and independent sales representatives.

· Compliance Management: Staying updated on federal and state payroll regulations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and managing payroll reporting requirements.

· Timekeeping Oversight: Monitoring employee timecards, managing timekeeping systems, and addressing discrepancies.

· Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate employee payroll records, including personal information, pay rates, and deductions.

· Auditing and Reconciliation: Responsible for creating and following effective internal controls.

· Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable, with minimum 4 years related experience

· Experience with modern complex ERP systems preferred. The company currently uses Microsoft AX.

· Thorough technical accounting knowledge with a strong understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

· Experience with software technology, with track record of implementing software and automation tools to streamline accounting processes. Proficiency with Paylocity highly desirable

· Ability to prioritize, with strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with other team members to achieve common objectives

Salary range: Starting at $75k based on experience
