The Beauport Hospitality Group has a rare opportunity to join our Accounting Team! We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Accounting Coordinator. This is an assistant management role, in a fast-paced environment, responsible for all accounting functions with a main focus on cashiering responsibilities to support the operation of Beauport Hotel Gloucester. The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for properly accounting for and enforcing internal controls. Ideal candidates will thrive on making an impact on our operation!

Required Experience:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute the administrative duties of the General Cashier including maintenance of all safes, issuance of new banks and contracts when required.
- Perform monthly audits of banks, safes and reconciliation.
- Maintain proper change levels for the Hotel, Gift Shop, Restaurant and Events Department.
- Ensure daily deposits are made to the local bank.
- Assist to provide Leadership support in maintaining established controls and accounting standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with the Hotel, Restaurant and Events Department to ensure proper posting of guest checks.
- Work closely with Controller/Staff Accountant with regards to "special deposits".
- Manage and follow all accounting standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Beauport Hospitality Group’s internal controls, and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Assist in the performance of the functions of Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll processing for Beauport Hotel Gloucester.
- Assist departments and properties with maximizing efficiencies in cost control, while identifying maximization of revenue, for the Hotel, Gift Shop, Restaurant and Function facility.
- Assist Staff Accountant to work with the Department Managers and Managing Director to effectively manage expenses and labor costs, while following procurement guidelines.
- Assist Staff Accountant to ensure proper posting of all revenues and statistic information.
- Assist Staff Accountant to confidentially deliver all reoccurring accounting reports to Controller in a timely manner.
- Assist Staff Accountant to Handle/Research all billing inquiries/credit card disputes in a timely, efficient manner.
- Complete projects as assigned by the Staff Accountant, Controller and Managing Director.
Required Experience:
- Cashiering experience preferred.
- Ability to keep strict confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor, friendly and team oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have experience in all Microsoft Office and knowledge of industry relevant Point of Sale Systems and Property Maintenance Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with maximum efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits and compensation preferred.
- Ability to effectively work cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise sound logic and judgement in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.
- Must be self-directed, motivated and be able to adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to stand or sit for a total of 8 hours’ length of time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work will primarily take place in the Accounting Office, to include front and back areas of the Beauport Hotel Gloucester.
- Group and solo work.
