Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to manage and maintain our company's financial records and processes. The ideal candidate will handle invoices, payments, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for payment.
- Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH, and check payments.
- Maintain AP files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send invoices to customers.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Post customer payments and reconcile accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Prepare aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
General Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions.
- Support audits and provide requested documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable roles.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
