- PAY TRANSPARENCY: USD Starting Range $50,000 - $70,000/annual, plus bonus-eligible pay! Total compensation is commensurate with experience and goal achievement.
- Residency and Relocation Disclosure: This immediate job opportunity is open to Pennsylvania residents only. This role requires monthly, in-person meetings at our Carlisle, PA office. Remote work is allowed within commuting distance of our office, provided overnight accommodation is not needed to attend the in-person sessions. The company does not provide relocation assistance for this position. If offered the role, candidates who do not currently reside in Pennsylvania must independently relocate to Pennsylvania at their own expense before starting the position. - Have you achieved a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting or finance and at least (2) years or more of work experience as a Staff Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or Financial Analyst?
- Do you possess a masterful command of best accounting principles and practices, a solid understanding of (GAAP), and a comprehensive knowledge of finance and financial statements, cash management, budgeting, cost accounting, and forecasting?
- Can you work independently on complex, confidential assignments and leverage your critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills to solve high-stakes business problems while also being able to do routine work as an individual contributor?
- Have you perfected translating “accounting-speak” into action items that C-suite company leaders and other stakeholders can understand and apply to minimize risk, maximize opportunity, and implement lawful, efficient, and compliant business practices to support company growth?

At Bowl Now, the Accounting, Business Operations, and Customer Success Manager has two separate but equal components. The first responsibility is to handle fully compliant processing of payroll, payables/receivables, journal entries, account reconciliation, and collections as an individual contributor. This requires planning, implementing, and managing accounting and financial data to seamlessly support strategic business objectives, grow revenues and reduce costs, aid in staff development and retention, improve internal controls, and add richness to the company's decision-making.
The other critical component of this newly created position is to partner with the Founder and the leadership team to serve as a multidisciplinary change agent; aligning your efforts with the company's strategic goals, you will handle and oversee all aspects of marketing, customer success, sales support, quality assurance, event management, and human resources.
Our top candidate will be eager to grow their career in an entrepreneurial, startup setting. You’ll provide data-driven insights to support leadership and handle special projects (e.g., leading the annual budget process, overseeing the new customer onboarding experience, conducting customer performance audits, developing SOPs and training materials, assisting with internal marketing efforts, and implementing internal systems, processes, controls, etc.), prepare reports and presentations, manage sensitive information requests, coordinate logistics and represent the company at professional events, like industry trade shows.

- A bachelor's or a more advanced degree in accounting or a related field is required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in accounting is required.
- Some marketing, customer success, and/or sales support work experience is highly desired but not required.
- Must possess “Day 1” proficiency with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office, including Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.) and working knowledge of general office equipment, coupled with the interest and ability to develop proficiency quickly with other high-tech software and systems.
- Ability to flex work hours as needed to meet time-critical business needs.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including mastery of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and tone, are required to interact effectively with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
- Trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality in customer and business matters are key responsibilities.
- It is critical to Working independently while collaborating and building strong working relationships with others is critical, especially when using digital, phone, and video technologies like Teams or Zoom.
- Background and investigative checks will be performed as part of the hiring process (this may include criminal, motor vehicle, employment/reference, and credit); results must be satisfactory to the company.
- Some local/regional/national travel is an irregular but essential duty. This requires having a valid driver’s license and providing your own transportation to and from industry/business events, as needed. Infrequent overnight travel associated with industry/business events may also be necessary. Expense reimbursement will be paid according to the company's business travel policy.
- If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures, GAAP, safety requirements, and other prescribed best practices/industry standards.
The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting. The individual must constantly talk, hear, stand, or sit for extended periods while using a computer, telephone, or other productivity devices to communicate with different personnel and conduct business. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Individuals frequently use their hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects and computer keyboards. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, squat, turn/twist, and smell. The individual must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and/or occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Customer visit conditions will dictate the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye, hearing, and respiratory protection, a protective smock, steel-toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
