Job Details
1. Managing the complete cycle of Accounts Payable and Joint Interest Billing (JIB) with accuracy and efficiency.
2. Maintaining and updating the general ledger and journal entries on a regular basis.
3. Tracking and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
4. Using OGSYS and Quorum software for managing and processing financial data.
5. Assisting in the financial operations of the energy, oil, and gas sectors of the company.
6. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
7. Managing vendor agreements, ensuring all financial agreements are up-to-date and accurately recorded.
8. Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
9. Making accruals and deferrals to ensure that revenues and expenditures are allocated to the correct accounting periods.
10. Collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Proficiency in using accounting software such as OGSYS and Quorum is a plus.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including Accounts Payable, JIB, ledger and journal entries, expenditure tracking, and vendor agreements.
5. Experience in energy, oil, and gas accounting is a plus.
6. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
7. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify financial discrepancies.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
