Accounting Assistant: Hartford, CT

CFS has partnered with a local distribution company in Hartford, CT. They are looking to hire an Accounting Assistant! This is an entry level position with growth opportunities available.

About the Opportunity:

• This role is open due to an upcoming restructuring
• You will have the opportunity to train for several months with the current Assistant before the transition
• Overtime Opportunity for those interested! (During the months of October-September)
• Flexible hours in the AM and PM - Definetly work life balance here
• This position will report to the controller
• Everyone in the office is cross trained, and very supportive!

Tasks of the Accounting Assistant:

• The Accounting Assistant will be hands on with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process a 3-Way match for AP (Invoice, packing slip and receiver)
• Take orders over the phone
• Data Entry
• Light administrative duties, including filing of invoices

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Assistant:

• The Accounting Assistant should be able to multitask
• Good excel skills would be a big bonus
• The Accounting Assistant does not need to have an Accounting degree, but any office or data entry skills will be helpful!
