As an Accountant for the Utah Transit Authority, you will:
During training, you will be required to work 5 days a week from the office. After training, your schedule can shift to a hybrid schedule of 5 days a week, with at least 3 of those days in the office.

As an Accountant for the Utah Transit Authority, you will:
- Perform advanced professional accounting duties related to funds, assets, grant accounting, payroll, budgets, treasury, and/or special projects accounting.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on financial documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and process financial documents related to the accounting process of the assigned department or function.
- Prepare routine to complex reports and analyses as required.
- Perform all duties in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and other requirements as directed.

Minimum Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Entry Level Position. No Experience Required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance, or other related fields. (In lieu of a Completed Bachelor's degree, we will consider candidates who have 4 years of Accounting or related experience.)
- Knowledge of proper accounting principles and procedures; demonstrated experience in their application preferred.
- Knowledge of specific laws, ordinances, and regulations governing financial reporting required.
- Knowledge of accounting software preferred.
- Basic typing skills and knowledge of personal computer operation, including advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, with an emphasis on customer service.
- Apply professional judgment in the application of standard and advanced accounting techniques and principles.
- Make accurate mathematical calculations.
- Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.
- Understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions.
