Job Title: Accountant
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to support our healthcare client. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience in Excel, reconciliations, and journal entries. You will play a key role in assisting with month-end closing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the General Ledger (GL) functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Closing: Assist with data collection, creation of journal entries, and reconciliation of GL account balances in preparation for monthly financial reports.
- Prepaid Expenses & Deferred Revenue: Maintain and record the agency’s prepaid expenses and deferred revenue schedules.
- Payroll Expense: Track, record, and maintain the agency’s payroll expenses in the General Ledger.
- Cash Receipts & Deposits: Serve as a backup for recording daily cash receipts to the General Ledger and assist with daily cash deposits.
- Capital Expenses & Fixed Assets: Oversee the tracking and reporting of Capital Expenses and Fixed Assets.
- General Ledger Support: Assist with G/L functions and participate in special projects or the creation/maintenance of spreadsheets to support management.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Advanced Excel Skills: Strong experience with VLookups and PivotTables to analyze and manage large datasets.
- Reconciliation Expertise: Proven track record of reconciling accounts and a solid understanding of Debits and Credits.
- Journal Entry Creation: Ability to create and post journal entries (JE) accurately.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Experience Over Formal Education: A degree is not required if you possess extensive and relevant experience in accounting.
