Job Title: Accountant
Location: Miami, Florida
Reports To: Senior Finance Manager
Overview:
InspireMD, a publicly traded medical device company, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of its US entity. As the company transitions into commercial sales and expands its activities, the Accountant will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting and finance tasks and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
· Process and record invoices, expense reports, and payments.
· Monitor AR and AP aging.
· Reconcile customer and vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Payroll Support:
· Assist with payroll processing and related reporting.
· Ensure compliance with local and federal payroll laws and regulations.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management:
· Reconcile bank accounts.
· Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies.
Expense Management:
· Review and process employee expense reports.
· Ensure adherence to company policies for T&E and other expenses.
General Ledger Maintenance:
· Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records.
· Perform monthly account reconciliations.
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
· Assist the Finance Manager with preparing tax filings, including sales and use tax.
· Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory purposes.
Inventory & Asset Management:
· Record and track purchases of supplies and services.
· Assist in maintaining records for inventory.
· Coordinate and perform inventory cycle counts.
· Managing Fixed Assets ledger and depreciation calculations.
Other Responsibilities:
· Support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
· Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
· Other accounting duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· B.S. in accounting/finance or related field.
· 3 to 5 years of related accounting experience, preferably in a medical device or similar industry.
· Extensive knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with sales tax and multi-state compliance is a plus.
