Job Summary and Qualifications

Instrumental in the month end process, with the preparation of journal entries, statistics, and reconciliations. Assist in performing a thorough month end review, to ensure expenses and revenue is appropriately recorded. Responsible for the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with Hospital and Department Policies and Procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements. Assists with all functions of the accounting Department, including Accounts Payable and General Accounting. Performs several of the daily functions including reconciliation, Plus, statistics, and related entries. Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in the day to day operations of the Accounting Department.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (in addition to working one weekend a month to process month end close)

• Prepares monthly account reconciliations as assigned by Controller.
• Completes assigned standard month-end journal entries timely and accurately.
• Assists with the accurate closing of MOB COID ledgers by preparing all necessary monthly journal entries. Prepare all MOB reconciliations in accordance with HCA’s APG guidelines.
• Willingly takes on special projects as assigned by Controller and ensures timely and accurate completion of projects assigned.
• Assists with processing and reconciling monthly Intercompany invoice from Corporate.
• Assists with preparing Intercompany billing to appropriate facilities and submit to corporate timely.
• Ensure all Inter/intracompany accounts are in balance prior to month-end close.
• Assists with preparation of quarterly review of SOX access key controls in accordance with HCA guidelines.
• Assists with preparation of annual escheat tax schedules in accordance with HCA’s APG guidelines.
• Assists with preparation of monthly industrial billing in accordance with PWH contractual arrangement and HCA guidelines.
• Assists with preparation of schedules used to help complete the budget, cost report and audits timely and accurately within departmental deadlines.
• Assists with maintenance of PLUS system for productivity management on a daily basis.
• Assists with the completion of assigned tasks listed on the Post Closing Review Guide and SOX Control Checklist by the monthly deadline.
• Generates reports from Business Object and the Decision Support System as needed.
• Prepares all assigned month-end schedules timely and accurately and within departmental deadlines.
• Assist the Assistant Controller with the maintenance of Fixed Asset System by Ensuring that all assets are tagged and added to the FAS database. Ensure that all asset disposals are entered into the FAS database timely.
• Assists with preparation of month end statistics and enters into QMIRS during month end, obtaining needed information from sources within the hospital.
• Assists with the Charge Master activation process, cross trained to review for errors.
• Willingly takes on projects within department and assist fellow team members with projects as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned 

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Business of Finance Related Field. (Required)

• Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
