Job Title: Accountant I

Work Location: Cincinnati, Ohio - Hybrid

The Accountant I is responsible for cash application, payment processing, bank reconciling, and treasury accounting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage quality of daily processing and ensure completion in line with agreed to service level agreements. 
• Maintain a strong understanding of ERP software and GCO processes to support straight through process changes as needed.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and their impact on the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
• Identify escalation items from external and internal customers and communicate clearly to Accountant II.
• Complete non-standard processing, with the ability to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Contribute ideas and actions toward the continuous improvement of processes within areas of influence.
• Identify items of exception and communicate clearly to Accountant II.
• Promote strong collaborative relationships between the Global Cash Operations Team and all other shared service teams including internal and external customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• MBA is a plus
• CTP certification is a plus 
• Shared service center experience desired
• Familiarity with SAP 
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite expertise preferred
