We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the financial management of our clients, providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of accounting. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from startups to established corporations, helping them to navigate the complexities of financial management and drive their business success.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of our clients' accounting departments, including the areas of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and account reconciliation.
2. Implementing and maintaining effective cost accounting systems and practices, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
3. Providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters, including tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Conducting detailed financial analysis and audits, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
5. Working closely with clients to understand their financial needs and goals, developing tailored strategies to help them achieve these.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance at all times.
7. Training and mentoring junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of all aspects of financial management and accounting principles.
3. Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, account reconciliation, and cost accounting.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
7. A high level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
