Account Manager – Surface Deployment & Distribution Command (SDDC)

This role will be responsible for identifying, winning and assisting in the retention of business associated with the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command.

Job Type: Full-time/hybrid

Responsibilities

• Target new business opportunities.
• Qualify leads for FTL transportation.
• Assist with pricing and contract negotiation.
• Main point of contact for accepted tenders.
• Communicates customer/load requirements to carrier sales.
• Load building in key point.
• Attain desired gross margin.
  
  

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-5 years related experience with the SDDC
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with systems such as Key Point TMS, Microsoft Office products, load and truck posting boards
• Familiarity with common trucking industry terminology
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both as an individual contributor and a team member
• Relationship building skills with both internal and external partners
• Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail
• The ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines, and manage the related stress
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate with a team
