OVERVIEW
The Account Executive-SmartConnect is a dynamic role focused on procuring new business and fostering partnerships. This position is critical in generating and developing new growth opportunities, supporting existing clients, and working across organizations to drive new business. They will direct and coordinate all components of the sales cycle. The Account Executive is instrumental in establishing SmartConnect as the trusted Medicare solution for partners and clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Drive sales of SmartConnect's services to new clients, expanding our Total Addressable Market (TAM) by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.
- Procure new business and work with the VP of Business Development to establish and develop new partnerships.
- Prospect and generate leads through market research, networking, and outreach.
- Update and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and follow up on leads.
- Provide compelling demonstrations of SmartConnect’s services to prospective clients, highlighting benefits and value propositions.
- Lead negotiations with clients to close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and objectives.
- Serve as the key point of contact for established brokers and national accounts, developing trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure the timely and successful implementation and delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Work closely with the Client Service Manager and Account Management Team to support Broker and Partnered Company needs
- Gather feedback from clients to inform product improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Act as the point of contact for all brokerage offices and teams.
- Handle general broker questions about SmartConnect and provide ad-hoc reporting.
- Engage with current brokerages to onboard new groups and host training calls to execute SmartConnect’s go-to-market strategy
- Identify and build relationships with new broker opportunities.
- Manage broker contracts, ensure proper compensation setup, and handle contract redlines and questions.
- Work with finance to ensure CPA & Revenue Share payouts are accurate.
- Coordinate with account management teams to gather necessary data and ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for national brokers
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, create, maintain, and update B2B sales and marketing materials.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly, quarterly, and annual initiatives as needed to internal and external stakeholders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of B2B2C business models.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledge of Medicare and group coverage options is a plus.
- Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Sales experience, preferably in the B2B space, preferred
