Job Description:
The Account Executive and Sales Consultant will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our company by developing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and enhancing our market presence. This role is vital in expanding our client base beyond our current referrals and repeat business. The ideal candidate will be experienced in business development, comfortable with networking and representing our firm in local organizations, and capable of working within a consultative sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in various sectors, including healthcare, multi-family residential, and telecommunications. Develop and execute strategies to win new projects and secure long-term contracts.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and potential prospects. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their project requirements.
- Networking: Represent Centek at local industry events, organizations, and networking opportunities. Develop a strong presence within the community and industry to increase visibility and generate leads.
- Proposal Support: Collaborate with architects and other partners to provide essential information for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and design-build projects. Assist in the preparation and submission of proposals, including government forms and other documentation.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, adapting to varied sales timelines and project scopes.
- Marketing Support: Work closely with the marketing team to enhance our firm’s brand presence and reputation. Assist in developing marketing materials and strategies to support business development efforts.
- Culture and Leadership: Represent Centek’s culture and values within the community and industry. Participate in the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) leadership team to contribute to the company’s strategic direction and growth.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the construction, architectural, or facilities management sectors. Experience with engineering firms or design-build projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the engineering and architectural industry, including experience with RFP processes, government forms, and design-build projects.
- Proven track record in sales, with experience managing the full sales cycle and achieving growth targets.
- Knowledge of engineering design services and the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to clients and partners.
- Experience supporting proposal preparation and understanding of industry-specific documentation requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for developing and maintaining professional relationships.
- Comfortable with public speaking and engaging with local industry groups and organizations.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage varied sales cycles and project scopes.
