As a AWS Architect, you will be:

This role involves conducting a detailed assessment of the current application landscape, designing robust future-state architecture, and developing a comprehensive migration strategy. The AWS Architect will also create a migration roadmap, build a backlog inventory, and provide resource and cost estimates to ensure a seamless transition to AWS Cloud.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: 150,000 $ - 162,000 $ Per Year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

The AWS Architect will also create a migration roadmap, build a backlog inventory, and provide resource and cost estimates to ensure a seamless transition to AWS Cloud.
Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct a detailed assessment of the insurance company's existing on-premises or legacy applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Evaluate dependencies, performance requirements, and compliance standards specific to the insurance domain.
Future State Architecture Design:
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures tailored to insurance applications.
- Incorporate AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and others into the architecture to meet business and technical requirements.
- Ensure the architecture adheres to regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and insurance-specific requirements.
Migration Approach Development:
- Define the optimal migration strategy (e.g., rehosting, refactoring, rearchitecting, rebuilding, or replacing) for each application.
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies to ensure a seamless migration.
Roadmap and Backlog Inventory:
- Develop a detailed migration roadmap with phases, milestones, and timelines.
- Create and maintain a prioritized backlog inventory of applications and workloads for migration.
Cost and Resource Estimation:
- Provide detailed resource planning, including skillsets required for migration teams.
- Deliver cost estimates for AWS services and associated migration activities, with recommendations for cost optimization.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical discussions with the client.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
- Document the current state assessment, future-state architecture, and migration plan.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to upskill client teams post-migration
The ideal candidate will have:
- AWS Expertise: Proven experience in architecting and migrating applications to AWS, with a deep understanding of core AWS services and best practices.
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance industry applications, compliance requirements, and operational workflows.
- Architectural Skills: Experience designing cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions.
- Migration Experience: Hands-on experience in application migrations, including creating roadmaps and executing migration plans.
- Cost Management: Strong understanding of AWS pricing models and cost optimization strategies.
- Tools and Technologies: Proficiency with AWS migration tools (e.g., AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service), as well as third-party tools like Terraform.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deliverables, and timelines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or other relevant AWS certifications.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
- Familiarity with data migration, disaster recovery planning, and security controls in the cloud

$150000 - $160000 per hour
