Our client, a leading non-profit organization that helps abused, neglected, and traumatized children heal physically and emotionally through compassionate, quality care, is hiring an Associate Vice President (AVP) of Enterprise Architecture
The Associate Vice President of Enterprise Architecture will lead the strategic design and implementation of the organization's technology infrastructure and application ecosystem. The AVP will establish and govern an enterprise architecture framework, aligning IT strategies with business objectives to drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. This role demands a visionary leader who can navigate complex systems and provide guidance across IT, business units, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Enterprise Architecture Leadership:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture strategy that supports organizational goals and objectives.
- Define architecture principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate business and IT strategies.
Technology and Systems Planning:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions, including applications, infrastructure, and data architecture.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and business advantage.
- Ensure architecture scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Governance and Policy Development:
- Establish governance frameworks for technology adoption, solution development, and architecture standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with architectural principles across IT projects and initiatives.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of enterprise architects and other IT professionals.
- Foster collaboration among IT, operations, and business units to ensure alignment and stakeholder buy-in.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
Performance Optimization:
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Identify and address technical debt and architectural inefficiencies.
- Optimize the IT portfolio to deliver value while minimizing risks and costs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Engage with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to enhance the organization's technology capabilities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, including 5+ years in enterprise architecture leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing enterprise-level IT solutions in large, complex organizations.
- Deep understanding of modern architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies.
Certifications:
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Enterprise Architect, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
Skills:
- Expertise in cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
