About the Job
Who We Are:
The Ocean Simulation Labs focuses primarily on verification and qualification testing of subsea components or structures used for Oil & Gas, Naval, research or recreational purposes.
Objectives of this Role:
- Support team members with physical setup, operation, and teardown of pressure based tests.
- Operate machinery to perform tasks or test steps based on procedures.
- Perform testing of components to ensure qualifications are met or assist in troubleshooting if not met.
- Ensure safe and clean working environment.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Cut, measure, and collapse pipe/casing type products of various sizes.
- Assemble low and high pressure tubing under direction of team members for hydraulics or other fluid based systems.
- Operate load handling equipment (cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) on a daily basis.
- Manually record limited data and/or confirm digital data is recorded for reporting.
- Complete basic datasheet style reports for customers.
Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Shift work required.
- 0 years: Basic experience with hand tools, welding, torch cutting, machine cutting, and/or other metal work.
- Experience with heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes and associated safety practices.
- Basic electrical / electronics and calibrated instrumentation use such as position, pressure, strain, and/or temperature sensors.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
