Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for PAINTERS in TUCSON, AZ.

Responsibilities:
As a Painter, you will be required to:

• Paint and apply finishing coats to in accordance to blueprints and/or customer specifications.
• Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjusting colors and fixing defects.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take when performing their work in order to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and injury to self and/or others.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager as directed.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• 1 year painting experience (i.e. aviation, automotive or marine)
• Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of blueprint readings or customer specifications.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels, to work in teams or independently and communicate effectively with co-workers or supervisory staff.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

Job Type:

• Full-time, Contract
• Shift Hours/Schedule: 12 hour shifts | 1^st shift: 6:30 am – 7:00 pm, 2^nd shift: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am; 3 days on with 4 days off | 4 days on with 3 days off.
• Candidate must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available.

Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Must be a self starter, able to work with little to no guidance.  Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized with ability to multi-task.
• Must be computer proficient. 
• Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
• Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces.  FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in hanger and ramp environment
