Volt is immediately hiring a Hybrid Contract Administrator in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. This position requires an understanding of government regulations, principals of contract and procurement laws, corporate policies as well as skills in negotiations
This is a first shift position.
As a Hybrid Contract Administrator you will:
- Report to the Senior Proposal and Contract Manager and works closely in a team environment with subject matter experts comprised of legal, finance, marketing, sales, business team members, quality, transportation, manufacturing, and customer service
- Will serve as primary contact for all direct proposal and contract related customer activity for assigned area, maintaining an excellent company image by fostering positive customer relations and a favorable contractual environment
- Works with moderate direction, identifying issues/problems or potential contractual requirements or risks to the business
- Reads and understands solicitation instructions and summarizes requirements for business discussion and decision making.
- Identifies and resolves contracts issues, system issues, process needs; performs analysis and makes recommendations for resolution; provides appropriate, timely escalation of issues
- Produces templates and outlines of proposal sections. Coordinates and compiles proposal content based on input from team members. Reviews proposal sections/content for compliance to RFP requirements. Coordinates proposal production, printing, and shipping
- Manages all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from contract negotiations, execution, amendments, modifications, renewals and extensions; implements in accordance with standard business division operating procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Three (3) years of combined experience in the following areas: bid/proposal coordinator, contract administrator/negotiator, legal/paralegal, customer service, communications, marketing, training, pricing, project management, and/or sales.
- Paralegal experience preferred but not mandatory

Salary
$50 - $53 per hour
