Job Title: Accounts Receivable Assistant

Position Overview: We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance department and support the management of receivables within our healthcare organization. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, maintaining strong relationships with patients and payers, and contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the accounts receivable cycle, including billing, payment posting, and reconciliations.
- Generate and send out patient invoices and statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Follow up on outstanding patient balances, address billing inquiries, and establish payment arrangements as needed.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve claims issues and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts receivable to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collections performance for management review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, payers, and internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management is preferred but not required.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
