8 week Contract Quality Engineer – 1st and 2nd shift - Automotive Sector - Stratosphere Quality

Job Summary:

Stratosphere Quality is seeking experienced Quality Engineers to join our team for a high-impact, short-term project supporting our client in the automotive sector.

This role is integral to ensuring that all parts meet strict quality standards, specifically for a prominent automotive OEM.

 Contract Quality Engineer – Automotive Sector

Project Duration: 8 Weeks (Mid-December to Mid-February)

Shift Options: Day Shift / Night Shift (40+ hours per week)

Pay Rate: $50ph

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all parts adhere to client specifications.
• Process Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve upstream process issues as they arise.
• System Checks: Confirm accurate part and container labeling by supplier systems.
• Quality Verification: Conduct quality verification for all supplier shifts, focusing on final assembly.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Partner closely with the client and suppliers, report any critical issues immediately, and deliver daily quality and delivery scorecards.
• Auditing: Perform thorough audits of processes and products to maintain quality standards.
• Project Management: Ensure professional project oversight and communication.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven background in Quality Engineering within an automotive or OEM environment
• Experience with automotive launches or new model manufacturing (preferred)
• Strong technical expertise in blueprints, gauging, tooling, APQP, PPAP, and AIAG Quality Tools
• Comprehensive understanding of quality engineering principles
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration
• Strong PC skills and proficiency in quality audits and inspections
