Job Description: Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Oversees the development of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates issues related to requirements development internal and external to the enterprise. Audits internal programs and benchmarks external programs to identify industry best practices and opportunities for improvement. Coordinates issues relating to system/component development. Reviews and provides input to draft regulations and policies. Initiates and directs proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Mentors others. Works independently.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with Boeing processes and procedures
Familiarity with Department of Defense policy and procedures
Familiarity with Project Engineer duties such as developing Statement of Work (SoW), System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDR , CDR), Risk Management, Requirement traceability, Estimating, and proposal response.
Active Secret security clearance
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Experience with or at Boeing St. Charles Missile and Weapon Systems (now Precision Engagement Systems)
In depth experience working with suppliers of Energetics Components, such as: Harpoon Standard Initiators, Start Cartridges, Fuzes (mechanical or electrical), FZUs, Pressure/Crush Probes, and understanding of the safe-arming sequence
In depth experience interfacing with and supporting the Warfighter and their mission
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role
