DCS Corporation has an immediate opening for a Mission Data (MD) Engineer supporting the US Reprogramming Lab (USRL) and 513th Electronic Warfare Squadron (EWS) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The mission of the USRL is to develop, test & produce combat credible Mission Data (MD) for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter of the DOD: Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps. Our team at the USRL produces MD to defeat enemy threat systems in the Electro-Magnetic (EM) spectrum and enhance F-35 survivability in combat.
Essential Job Functions:
The MD Engineer will work with other members of the USRL team to develop state-of-the-art MD for the advanced 5th generation F-35 JSF. The ideal candidate’s responsibilities will include:
MD development, MD Validation & Verification (V&V), Operational MD Assessment/Development/Testing.
Conduct Intelligence research & analysis to develop and program complex MD files for the F-35 Electronic Warfare (EW) suite and enhance situational awareness for F-35 pilots.
Design / develop complex EW models, programs, and automation tools to increase efficiency of MD Lab testing and analysis.
Advise on RF components, characteristics, and antenna performance parameters to optimize MD programming efforts.
Communicate detailed feedback (orally & written) from V&V analysis to support MD production and configuration management.
Job Requirements:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor Degree in an Engineering / STEM discipline with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance and maintain throughout employment, Active Secret clearance highly desirable.
Occasional travel 2-3 weeks / year.
Desired Skills:
Experience programming MD for 4th / 5th generation fighter aircraft.
Experience with software applications to program and produce MD.
Experience with V&V test plans and directing MD testing in a Lab setting.
Proficient working knowledge of: CED, EWIRDB, NGES, SPECTRE & MATLAB.
Proficient working knowledge of EW fundamentals & threat radar systems / parametrics.
Familiarity with F-35 avionics & AESA generation radars.
