About the Job

Our client is seeking an experienced Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide specialized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to pediatric patients within the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. The role includes managing patients in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings, with a focus on pediatric gastroenterology, obesity, and nutrition support.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and diagnose nutrition-related issues.
Implement targeted nutrition interventions and monitor patient outcomes using the Nutrition Care Process.
Provide MNT, including oral nutrition supplements, modulars, oral diets, tube feedings (enteral nutrition), and intravenous feedings (parenteral nutrition).
Educate patients, parents, hospital staff, community groups, and professional organizations on nutrition.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and refine patient care strategies.
Participate in performance improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes.
Serve as an expert resource for clinical nutrition concerns.
Mentor clinical nutrition interns and educate medical students, residents, fellows, nurses, and other clinicians.

Must Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Pennsylvania State Licensure (LDN) or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Registered Dietitian; pediatric experience preferred.
Strong knowledge and application of MNT principles in pediatric gastroenterology and obesity care.
Proficiency in oral and enteral nutrition support, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and time-management skills.

Nice to Haves:

Advanced degree or specialty certification (e.g., CSP, CNSC, CDE, CLC, CSO, IBCLC) required or obtainable within 12 months of hire.
Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Salary Range: $61,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
