About the Job
Borden Hauling has an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Mechanic Helper/Truck Fueler in Elkhart, Indiana.
Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic helper/truck fueler with us the minimum responsibilities are:
+ Perform minor repairs and inspections,safetychecks, diagnosis and repair ofelectrical,hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems ondieselvehicles.
+ Utilize vehicle computerelectrical systemsto interpretfailure modesto identify and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules
+ Fuel trucks, tire and brake checks.
+ Reviewing, Completing or assigning repairs identified on driverVehicle InspectionReports.
+ Completing requiredpaperworkutilizingfleet maintenancesoftware programs.
+ Helping other team members with repairs as needed
+ Having professional andcourteousinteractions with our drivers when needed.
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area incompliancewith corporate and OSHA standards.
+ Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
+ Proficiency in a variety ofdieselvehicle diagnostic tools,preventative maintenanceand repair.
+ Basic tool set
+ Hydraulicexperience
