Job Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for all shift employees' supervision and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, production quantity, quality targets, housekeeping standards, and maintaining discipline. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the manufacturing of products producing the required volume of products within company standards of quality, cost, and safe work procedures; ensures that employees have all the resources and tools necessary to carry out their job functions safely and efficiently; the supervisor will also be responsible for working with managers, other supervisors, and personnel from other departments to promote a team environment to achieve goals across all shifts; be a dependable self-starter who has the follow-up skills to produce extraordinary results with integrity while displaying a positive can-do attitude.
Essential Duties
- Supervise the production team members of 7 production lines during the work shift by maintaining a consistent, visible presence on the production floor.
- Mentor and motivate team members to follow safe work practices and comply with GMPs and production standards while striving to meet performance objectives (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment).
- Assist the Production Manager in ensuring the integrity of finished product quality. Make decisions independently related to operations and product conformance/non-conformance in the absence of the Production Manager as necessary.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of day-to-day challenges and operator needs. Escalate to the Production Manager and/or Maintenance Manager when appropriate.
- Assist the Production Manager in ensuring effective communications by relaying information between the Manager, work team, support departments, and other lines.
- Coordinate scheduled work activities, including start-up, shut-down, mid-week CIPs, and other activities as the Production Manager instructed.
- Assist all internal and external Managers / Supervisors to ensure coverage and all processes are completed and drive problem-solving initiatives as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and all applicable Food Safety regulations. Conduct training and performance evaluations and make recommendations.
- Arrive before and stay after the shift, as necessary, to ensure proper communication and coordination between shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
- Must have the ability to successfully pass a training course for Aseptic food production during the training/onboarding period.
- Demonstrated ability to perform intermediate math calculations.
- Ability to synthesize data and information to make the best possible decision.
- Must be proficient with essential computer functions and systems, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated ability to diffuse tense situations professionally and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Must be comfortable enforcing policies and performance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in front of a group and give clear directions.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies
- Must have the ability to successfully pass a training course for Aseptic food production during the training/onboarding period.

Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required. BA, BS, or higher-level degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a lead, Supervisor, or Manager in a beverage/food/dairy manufacturing environment is required
