The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, productivity and productive maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and theplant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production andperforms scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machineservice.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenanceand service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations toproper supervision.
- Responsible for working with suppliers and vendors to assure best product and price.
- In conjunction with Supervisors will assist with training on operating equipment safely.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Must be able to build a relationship with all team members.
- This position will be required to work collaborate on cross-functional projects i.e., SafetyCommittee.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Toperform thisjobsuccessfully,anindividual mustbeabletoperform eachessentialduty satisfactorily.
Educationand/orExperience:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be available to be on call after normal working hours for calls pertaining toequipment problems and to report for repairs when necessary.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
